Disaster victims in Michigan and Utah qualify for tax relief.

The IRS recently announced that victims of severe storms and flooding in counties of Michigan and earthquake and aftershocks in counties of Utah that are designated as federal disaster areas qualifying for individual assistance. That means they have more time to make tax payments and file returns.

Deadlines for certain other time-sensitive acts also are postponed.
